We are forgetful people. There’s so many things flying in and out of our minds and we (myself included) find ourselves so distracted every day. The danger in this for followers of Jesus is that we forget who we are…we forget that we have been changed. And the more we forget and take our eyes off of Jesus, that’s where the enemy likes to come in.
The enemy tells us things like:
- Are you SURE you’re a believer?
- EVEN after you continue sinning like that?
- I can’t believe you would think THAT about that person.
- Look, you didn’t even read your Bible today or this week….does God REALLY care for you?
- You know God isn’t really there for you at the end of the day right?
- How could God do that and STILL love you?
- Life is never going to get better, you’re a failure, just end it.
Rest assured these are all lies and they are all addressed in the message below.
When accusations come our way, we have got to respond with the truth of God’s Word. The 2nd half of Ephesians 4 is about putting away our former way of living and putting on the new self. To be renewed in our minds and to love others well because of what Jesus has done for us!
Replace accusations from the enemy with the truth from God’s Word.
Here’s a message I gave on how to do this and the reminders of how we are changed when we become followers of Jesus.

This is an excellent teaching. I was led at 2am by theHoly Spirit to a 31-day Bible Plan that ultimately connected to this webpage and I’m grateful for what has been revealed to me. I’m going to share this with my teenagers and mother so our souls can be enriched and our lives changed. Thank you so much for allowing God to use you for His purpose.
Thank you so much Erika for reading and for sharing! Really appreciate the encouragement!
