“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13
As I write this, it is done so with a heavy and burdened heart.
There are many realities in life that seem to be impossible right now – marriages being reconciled, children avoiding death and becoming healthy again, friends and family who are far from God being drawn intimately close. I’m sure each of you could also run through your own list of seemingly impossible scenarios.
But as I battle becoming overwhelmed and defeated in my thoughts, I am reminded of what the angel Gabriel said to Mary, a virgin, concerning her giving birth to Jesus Christ – also a seemingly impossible situation:
“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37
It’s also widely thought to be impossible for someone who is dead to be made alive again, but through faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, each one of us has been brought from death into life again.
Our God is a great God, and nothing is too difficult for Him. Believe and receive joy and peace!
Prayer this week: that the Holy Spirit would cause you to abound in hope of our great God and be filled with His joy and peace!
I love you all. Press on!
