“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23
Jesus Christ is our provider. In all circumstances, no matter what is going on, through sickness…health…work…money…wisdom…strength…peace…patience…understanding…wisdom, He provides everything and is in everything (Colossians 1:16).
Let this be an encouragement for you that regardless of the situation you currently find yourself in, that He will take care of you and in whatever way He chooses to do that, it will be so much better for you than anything you could even think of. If you are struggling with this or doubting that the Lord will provide, it’s possible you’re not letting go of something. Maybe that is control, anxiety, or a form of fear. Whatever it is, trust the same God that has provided salvation for you through Jesus to handle whatever the struggle is that you are facing.
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:4-7
Think of the fact that the sun came up today. Think about the fact you are breathing at this very second while reading this. Do these things just happen out of nowhere? Of course not! It’s the Lord providing all of these things, from a large sunrise for earth all the way to the single breath of a human being.
There is nothing you are going through that is out of God’s reach. In fact, there’s nothing your’e going through that He is not in control of. That should bring great encouragement to the follower of Christ because our day does not rest on our own performance, but rather what Jesus has already done. It is finished.
Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (which is also everything we know), guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. And remember, as He provides for you daily, praise Him. Praise Him in every moment. Praise Him for each breath. Praise Him for the sunrise. Praise Him for Jesus dying on the cross and rising from the grave defeating death and sin in Victory.
If you have surrendered your life to Christ and have a relationship with Him, this is all you will ever need and He is the ultimate provision for all of us! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ, for He is our provider!
I am a Single Christian Father, I have custody of my teenaged child, I know first hand that God always provides. It is just my income, but we seem able to make ends meet.
Thanks so much for sharing Steve, really appreciate it!
