Culture does not get to dictate what a real man is. The Bible provides us the real definition of a man. We’ve written about this topic before, and that’s why we are excited to share with you the Act Like Men conference coming up this November.
This helps explain why:
Look around. What’s so desperately needed where we live, in our country and in our world, are men who embrace all God created them to be. Men who are loud and ruthless about their own sin, but patient and full of grace in leading others. Men who long to follow God without limits and meet the needs of those around them without hesitation.
To get there we need radical surgery. It’s time to cut deep and get it all, and not be afraid of what that means. We challenge you to join thousands of men for a two-day conference this fall—to step up with us and Act Like Men.
Amen and amen!
There’s not a doubt in my mind that we have a huge problem with men in our culture today. I’m not necessarily saying we all need to go back to the 1950’s and be real men, but never before have we had such a problem where men…regardless of their age really…are just acting like boys.
They don’t want to get a job, move out from their parents house, stop playing video games, most definitely don’t want to be a father, want to “play house” with whatever girlfriend comes their way, and doesn’t have the slightest clue on what it really means to act like a man.
I’m not saying I have this perfect and can probably only relate to many of these things because I’ve been guilty of them myself, but I do know that the Bible has a lot to say about being a man and that it is the only place to get the real definition on top of seeing it modeled for us.
Men, you have a great opportunity coming up in November. Fathers, you have an awesome opportunity as well to be a part of this along with your son. I’d like to encourage all of you to seriously consider attending this conference. We all need it and can you imagine the impact that The Lord will make through so many faithful men that He is calling? He might even take many boys and turn them into men in the process!

As men, we can make a huge difference starting in our relationship with God through Jesus Christ, in the home with our wives and children, in the workplace, and beyond that. I have no doubt that we all feel called to something greater than ourselves whether or not we want to admit it and we know how it would fuel us up to really do something and to act like men.
