What comes to mind when you think of healing? Someone that is sick getting better? A person being able to walk again after years of being in a wheelchair? Tragedy? Scripture is filled with areas of healing whether it’s in regards to a specific person being healed, or how Jesus healed us by dying on the cross for us.
Whatever it is that comes to mind for you, be encouraged today to take your requests before The Lord with confidence in asking Him to heal someone or to heal yourself by His comfort with whatever you are going through. God does not make mistakes and knows exactly what He is doing.
Here is what the Bible has to say with scripture on healing:
Jeremiah 33:6 – Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security.
Hosea 14:4 – I will heal their apostasy; I will love them freely, for my anger has turned from them.
1 Peter 2:24 – He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Psalm 103:2-3 – Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases.
Jeremiah 30:17 – For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast: ‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’
Jeremiah 17:14 – Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.
James 5:15-16 – And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Psalm 30:2 – O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.
