Scripture on The Presence of God

I believe we are living in a day where so many people are seeking out real relationships and real answers to deeper questions in life. There are many intense things happening right now and that drives people asking “is there anything more to this?” And while things may feel hopeless there truly are answers and they are found in God.

But then what do we do with that? How do we even talk to God or go to Him? Can we?

There is a lot within God’s Word (the Bible) that speaks to this and where we can find Him. It would be hard to read these verses and not walk away knowing that God is near us, He wants to be near us, He wants us to draw near to Him. That He is compassionate, that He gives us rest, that we can truly be in His presence at anytime because of Jesus.

Here is what the Bible has to say with scripture on the Presence of God:

Psalm 16:11 – You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 145:18 – The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.

Acts 17:26-27 – And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward Him and find Him. Yet He is actually not far from each one of us.

Psalm 139:9-10 – If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

Hebrews 13:5 – Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Hebrews 4:16 – Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Psalm 23:4 – Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Isaiah 43:2-3 – When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you.

Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.

Exodus 33:14 – And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Acts 3:20-21 – That times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.
