“Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” – Philippians 2:3
In regards to respecting one another, the Bible says to count others more significant than ourselves out of humility. We are to do nothing out of rivalry or vain conceit, selfish ambition, etc.
We must be careful that we are not serving ourselves in the process of serving someone. Even the smallest act of doing something for ourselves shows where our priorities lie, with pleasing us first. The best example we have is Jesus Christ, who counted all of us more significant than Himself as He died on the Cross and rose again for us.
Let us today think of who (out of humility), we can count more significant than our self.
