“…bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.” – Colossians 3:13
Grudges, complaining, gossiping, being a negative nancy, we’ve all been there and it seems like we know best how to get all stirred up over someone else. As we go about our day, let us remember that the Lord has forgiven us and because of the Cross, we are free.
When our lives are led by Christ and not from ourselves, the perspective changes on how we see people. If someone has “wronged us”, instead of immediately attacking or planning how to get back at that person, we see it as an opportunity to show the love of Christ when it is undeserving.
Who can you bear with today and forgive because the Lord has first forgiven you?
