“See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:15
Revenge, grudges, payback, these are all ways we can repay evil for evil. When someone has “wronged” us, our typical response is to get back at that person and sometimes, where it really hurts them. However, the Bible says to do the opposite.
Instead of repaying evil or evil, we should always seek to do good to one another and on top of that, to everyone. This is regardless of how they treat you or me or what they say. As followers of Christ, would it glorify Him to do evil back to someone, or to forgive and seek to do good for that person?
Today, who can you seek to do good for?
